Creative strategy is the bridge between business goals and ad creative execution. It defines what angles, messages, formats, and visual styles will resonate with your target audience. A strong creative strategy starts with customer research (reviews, surveys, competitor analysis), identifies 3-5 messaging angles (pain points, benefits, social proof, authority, urgency), and maps each angle to specific creative formats and funnel stages.
Example
A brand's creative strategy identifies 4 angles: founder story (awareness), ingredient benefits (consideration), customer testimonials (social proof), and limited-time offer (urgency). They produce 3 creatives per angle across 3 formats = 36 unique ad variations.
