What is Value Proposition?
The unique benefit that makes a product worth buying over alternatives.
Definition
A value proposition is a clear statement of the unique benefit your product delivers and why a customer should choose you over competitors. It answers the question: "Why should I buy this?" Strong value propositions are specific, measurable, and differentiated: "Get clearer skin in 14 days or your money back" is stronger than "Our skincare products are great." In ad creative, the value proposition should be communicated within the first 3 seconds through the headline, hero image, or opening video frame.
Example
A meal delivery brand's value proposition: "Restaurant-quality meals in 10 minutes — fresh ingredients, chef-designed recipes, delivered weekly." This communicates the benefit (restaurant quality), differentiation (10 minutes), and proof (chef-designed).
